LOCAL DISASTER RELIEF FUND NEEDS YOUR HELP
Mainers have given generously to the American Red Cross international disaster response to help victims of the recent earthquake in Haiti. That response will continue in the months and possibly the years to come. The Chapter sends all Haitian relief donations to the national office of the American Red Cross to be used in the Caribbean island nation – none of those funds are kept in Maine or used in Maine.
Meanwhile, our neighbors in eastern and northern Maine make use of the Pine Tree Chapter’s Local Disaster Relief Fund every day for shelter, food, clothing and emotional support after house fires, storms, and flooding.
The Chapter’s Local Disaster Relief Fund is nearly depleted.
That is why we ask you to consider a gift to the Local Disaster Relief Fund. We are “One Red Cross,” prepared to meet needs at home as well as throughout America and abroad. Your gift could not come at a better time.
Your local gift …
… helps Maine victims who have lost everything in a house fire or other disaster.
… helps volunteers who serve Maine and Mainers as well as disaster victims nationally and overeas.
… helps Maine families stay connected with their deployed armed service members.
… helps Mainers receive life-saving Red Cross health, safety and preparedness training.
… keeps the blood donor system vital and responsive to Maine’s needs.
With your gift to the Pine Tree Chapter for use in Maine, you sustain our capacity to save a life, help a family recover from a house fire, and respond to emergencies at a moment’s notice.
Make a gift by credit card through this website, or by phone at 941-2903 x 106, or by mail to Pine Tree Chapter, 122 Target Industrial Circle, Bangor ME 04401 or at your nearest Chapter office.
